American cooperate : Altough often competitive, American also have a good sense of team work of cooperating with others to achieve a goal. 

American are friendly : (but in their own way) In general friendship among Americans tend to be shorter and more casual than friendship among people from the other culture. This has something to do with American mobility and the fact that Americans do not like to be dependent on other people. Americans also tend to compartmentalize friendship , having friends at work, friends on softball team, family friends, etc. 

Americans ask a lot of questions, some of which may to you seem pointless, uninformed or elementary. you may be asked very personal questions by someone you have just met. No impertinence is intended the questions usually grow out of genuine interest. 

Americans tend to be intentionality naive: Many U.S students are not very knowledgeable about international geography or world affairs. They may ask uninformed questions about currents events and may display appalling ignorance of world geography. Because the U.S is not sorrounded by many other rations, some Americans tend to ignore the world. 

Silence makes Americans nerveous ; Americans are not comfortable with silence. They would rather talk about the wheather than deal with silence in a conversation. 

Americans are openly and usually eager to explain ; If you do not understand certain behaviour or want to know more about what makes Americans tick , do not hestitate to ask questions.
